Now, if Mark, Cristol, or Peter happen to answer… kindly remind them (on behalf of Stephanie and Lisa) that they are absolutely not supposed to be touching the phone.

Our Team

Mark Smyth, D.Ch.

Mark Smyth, D.Ch.

Chiropodist

Driven by his passion for nutrition, strength, conditioning, and athletic challenges, Mark finds joy in all areas of podiatric medicine, with a particular interest in podiatric sports medicine, foot biomechanics, and orthotic therapy.
As a Masters level competitive sprinter and National sprint champion with more medals than he can count (okay, maybe he can count them), Mark knows a thing or two about injury prevention and recovery.  Having been personally challenged by plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis and other muscle strains and tears, Mark is able to provide professional and personal insight when providing care to his competitive athletic and weekend warrior patients.

After attending the Health Sciences program (Kinesiology) at McMaster University, Mark began his career in podiatric medicine in 1997 following graduation from The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and becoming registered with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

When Mark isn’t providing care to patients you will always find him training at the track or in his personal gym. Mark is also Cristol’s husband and proud father of their three ever-growing kids.

Peter Greaves, D.Ch.

Peter Greaves, D.Ch.

Chiropodist

If you had told Peter in 1997 that he’d spend a significant part of his career as a Chiropodist working alongside Mark and Cristol in Cobourg, Ontario, he likely would’ve said, “That sounds GREAT!”

Peter’s journey began with four years in the Exercise Science Department at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, commuting daily across the border from his hometown in Soo, Ontario. After countless crossings, he went on to study podiatric medicine at The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, graduating in 1997 and earning registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

Throughout his career, Peter has embraced education as a core value. He has been an instructor at The Michener Institute’s Chiropody Department, fostering learning in a problem-based environment, and a Clinical Instructor at his private practice, “Foot Care in the Beach,” where he focused on biomechanics and sports medicine. Known for his humour and passion for teaching, Peter often quips, “Your foot might feel better when you leave, but your brain might be a little sore!” His commitment to patient education ensures every client walks away with a deeper understanding of their foot health—no pop quizzes required.

With decades of experience, Peter has mastered techniques to improve foot health and relieve pain, bringing his expertise and compassionate care to every patient.

When he’s not at the clinic, Peter is happiest in his garden, dividing time between Sarah’s flowers and his vegetable patch. An enthusiastic cook, he’s also on a constant mission to fuel their two towering teenage sons, John and Graham. Whether he’s swapping gardening tips, sharing recipes, or discussing the latest in foot care, Peter’s energy and enthusiasm shine through in everything he does.

Cristol Smyth, D.Ch.

Cristol Smyth, D.Ch.

Chiropodist

A lover of all things ooey and gooey, it’s no surprise that Cristol is known to find joy in all things filled with pus. Although she enjoys all aspect of podiatric medicine, Cristol holds a special interest in resolving painful ingrown toenails, debriding the thickest of nails, callus and corns, and draining lumps and bumps, and she takes tremendous pride in helping her patients leave the clinic with feet that feel so much better.

Cristol began her career in podiatric medicine after graduating from The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and becoming regulated with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario in 1998.

When she isn’t providing professional care to patients, Cristol fills her entrepreneurial cup as owner of the prestigious Nourish Skin & Spa and Rooted Ritual Head Spa, both here in Cobourg, and founder of the national e-commerce boutique Radiance Clean Beauty. She also nurtures her love of animals by caring for her four rescue dogs, twelve chickens (more like 40 but that’s just chicken math!), 3 ducks and pet turkey (Mark would like to add “or any other sick, orphaned, injured or sad-looking animal she comes across!” ha ha). Cristol is also Mark’s wife and proud mother of their three beautiful kids: Emma, Jacob and Will.

Lisa Lamondin

Lisa Lamondin

Podiatric Medical Assistant

Lisa is our Podiatric Medical Assistant, bringing nearly 20 years of experience as an esthetician into the clinical world of foot heath. She combines skill, precision, and a gentle touch to support our patients every day.

With strong attention to detail and a genuine desire to help others, Lisa assists with treatments, prepares clinical rooms, and supports patients throughout their appointments — helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Fun facts? She loves horror, collects gnomes, and has the most honest facial expressions — what she’s thinking usually shows (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).

Her warmth, experience, and authenticity make her a favourite with both patients and staff alike.
